Great Lines Heard or Read - Inputs Please
« on: December 09, 2010, 10:11:19 PM »

I thought it would be fun and possibly educational to share great lines we've encountered in our life.  For example:  "change is inevitable.....exce pt from a vending machine."

One of my favorites is an exchange between Colonel Potter and Corporal O'Reilly on MASH.  I once held the Air Force equivalent of Cpl O'Reilly's position which the Army called "company clerk."  I assure you the remark, funny as it is, is based on fact----I have ordered and used the form mentioned.

Colonel Potter:  "What am I signing Radar?"
Corporal O'Reilly:  "This is the form to order the form used to order forms."

Eagerly awaiting your inputs be they funny or insightful or all the above.

Is that story true Sherriff?
I can't testify that every word is true, but it is true that it certainly is a story...

A supermodel on Oprah the other day was asked about having plastic surgery.  She answered with a no because "getting old is a privledge, not a right" and she feels she should simply age gracefully.

What a great thought, I've already lost a number of friends and family who were way too young.  She is exactly right............Ge tting old is a privledge, not a right.

the quote that i like is very old, but very relavent in a world which does nothing but criticise and pulls people to pieces.

" Let he who is without sin cast the first stone "  Jesus.

When I am angry with someone, it does help me although I still do slip up from time to time).

I try to follow that one as well BelovedChild in that I strive to criticize the action rather the person--but it's easier to say than to do.
