What is Your Favorite Craft?
« on: June 20, 2014, 11:58:46 AM »
We would love to see some pictures of the crafts you do.

I did post 3 of the one I have done on my blog but I was thinking this would be a great place for everyone to share pictures of their craft work. pictures

I guess now my favorite type of craft is sewing.
I made this quilt a good while back. My next project is to make a wall hanging using another panel like the one in the middle of this quilt with a Eagle panel on the back so either side can be seen

I do need to get started on my Great Grand Sons quilt for his second Christmas it will be a quilt, twin size I think. His room has the Finding Nemo theme but I think maybe just an underwater scene will be best.

So that gives me 2 quilting project I will be getting started on soon.

I did find a picture of the Eagle print I will be putting on the other side of the wall hanging.

Do any of you like to do soft sculpture dolls, animals, etc.

When soft sculpture doll making was my favorite ---

A friend and I (she lives in Pa.) would get together on a voice messenger and work on these doll. I always thought they were ugly and still do but something about them kept drawing me to make them.

Here are a few I have done.

Do you remember when the re-born doll were in fashion?

I got some small picture albums from the Dollar Tree one year and made these to put photographs in.
I wonder if picture albums are a lost art now with all the way you can save your pictures. I have several CD's with pictures.

Oh!! --Hum -- this gives me an idea.

What about making albums to hold CD's in the jewel cases.  This would remove the necessity for getting those protector sleeves    :Uthink:

Anyone who knows me, knows that Christmas is my "thing".  If it has to do with Christmas, I want it.  I want a LOT of it.  I want it in various colors AND if I can figure out how to make it myself I CAN HAVE a lot of it.

So I scrounged around today and found a few of my handmade ornaments that I could get to without destroying the house or without having to explain to Troubleshooter why he needed to drag in ALL of my tubs (yeah, there's that many of them) for me to go through in June.

Bearing in mind that I am NOT a photographer; I don't play one on tv; AND I didn't stay in a Holiday Inn last night - here is the first of two of my feeble attempts at re-sizing and uploading photos of my ornaments.

EM I love the ornaments you have made. It sure would be hard for me to choose one. I would want them all.

I think you have done a pretty good job with the pictures too. :icon_hug:
