Bedspread sewn by hand
« on: April 08, 2016, 03:30:30 PM »
I found something to do while watching TV or when I need to sit and wait for ,what ever.
I started doing yoyo circles a long time ago I stopped for a long while.
As I was looking on pinterest I saw this and now I want one.  :1-giggle:

Get busy, Chloe it's going to take a lot of yo yos but it would really make a nice summer bedspread.  What size circles are you planning on using to make yo yos with?

They are so pretty. I love yo-yos on lots of things including bedspreads. :claphands:

I especially like the random style one at the top. Ohhh yes~!  :gparty9:
We could all send you some fabric to give you even MORE variety, if you'd like.
We could even cut the circles if you tell us what size you will be making them out of.

:2-hihand: Miz L2Q its so nice to see you popping in. :gfriends1:

I started making some like I use to but I agree it will take me forever to get anything the size of a bedspread so I think I need to make them larger for sure.

Ok here is my idea.

If I make them large say the size of a saucer. it might take a lot of material not just scarps sooooo why not combine it with scrap quilting pieces. I can sew them together to get the right size.
So Now I Will Have A Scrap, Scrap YoYo.  :1-giggle:

First & foremost, whatever will give you joy to work with is exactly what you should do.  :gfriends1:

My Mom was famous for cutting things (say like for potato salad) really tiny, I cut things sorta small but not tiny, and I know people who cut things in rather large pieces, so frankly, since you will be doing them in blocks or maybe other shapes, why not make them in various sizes, with a design of smallish blocks, strips, rectangles &/or triangles to go with your yo-yos on the top where it's flat, and larger ones on the sides and bottom. :whisper: I can make a mess of things too. :1-giggle:

Look-a-here at these different yo-yo quilts/blankets
All kinds of sizes...
