Do you plan to sculp each "charm" from scratch or make a mold? I remember someone making hummingbird earring dangles but don't know how they did it.
I always thought it would be nice to be able to make sea gulls for wall art. A friend made all sizes and types of wall art and shelf art from the interesting knots and knarles and bark from the Alpine forests of New Mexico. The bark had the look of seaside rock outcroppings, and he used ceramic gulls (about 2" long) that were available then. He also used small ceramic woodland critters peeping out of a hole in a branch. Sold like hotcakes at the craft fair, and a friend took a bunch to her office. And he had a display at home and sold to friends. I bought a bunch for gifts. Unfortunately, I gave most away. Later, when I wanted some of the gulls on bark, the ceramic supplier had turned to pigs. Ugh!
